Community Health Centers Continue Steady Growth, But Challenges Loom
An overview of the performance of community health centers (CHCs) compiled from data reported annually to the federal government through the Uniform Data System (UDS) between 2000-2018. Data includes the total number of CHCs nationwide and in rural areas, patient demographics, patient volume, health insurance coverage, types of services rendered, number of health center staff, and health center revenue.
