Union Pacific Foundation Community Ties Giving Program: Local Grants
Grants to nonprofit organizations to support direct services and capacity building efforts aimed at improving the quality of life in communities served by Union Pacific in the areas of safety, workforce development, community vitality, and environmental sustainability. Special emphasis is given to programs and organizations that serve populations in local communities. Rural communities have been awarded funding in the past.

Alliant Energy Community Grants
Grants to build stronger communities in Iowa and Wisconsin with focus on hunger, housing, transportation, workforce, environmental stewardship, and community safety and engagement.

Emergency Response Equipment Grant Program
Funding for the purchase of emergency response equipment for volunteer fire, rescue, and ambulance departments in rural parts of Compeer Financial's service area.

Hermes Monato, Jr. Rural Health Essay Prize
An annual award for a rural health essay written by a student or recent graduate of any campus of the University of Wisconsin.

Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health Pilot/Feasibility Projects Academic Track
Grants for academic/scientific investigators and those newly interested in agricultural safety and health research. Funding will support projects that address occupational hazards relevant to farmers and farm workers in the Great Plains region, with a focus on projects addressing work-related stress and mental health; the prevention of slips, trips, and falls; equipment/tool safety; and chemical safety.

North Central Region Extension Collaboration and Implementation Grants
Funding for land grant institutions extension programs working to create resilient communities and economies, developing leadership and civic engagement, and promoting community health and wellness in rural areas of the North Central Region of the U.S.

North Central Regional Center for Rural Development Fellows Program
Fellowships for faculty or staff from Land Grant Institutions to collaborate with NCRCRD staff on research and/or outreach projects that will enhance rural development in the North Central Region.

ROPS Rebate Program
Offers rebates for approximately 70% of the cost of purchasing and installing a Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) kit on tractors.

Thematic Working Groups in the North Central Region
Funding for multistate, regional working groups focusing on creating resilient communities and economies, developing leadership and civic engagement, and promoting community health and wellness that integrates research and Extension programs.

Wisconsin Conrad 30 J-1 Visa Waiver Program
Offers a J-1 Visa waiver to foreign physicians who commit to serving for 3 years in an approved area of Wisconsin, allowing them to remain in the United States.
