Module 4: Evaluating Rural Community Health Programs
Evaluations are used to measure the effectiveness of programs and policies, including what worked well and what could be improved. Evaluations can help to show that a rural community health program is producing measurable outcomes, such as improving access to care and health outcomes. Depending on the goals of the evaluation and the evaluation research questions, it may be necessary to collect qualitative and/or quantitative data from different stakeholders. Evaluations should also consider contextual factors that may affect the success of the program.
