A challenge to identify and highlight community-based organization outreach and engagement strategies that increase access to behavioral health services for racial and ethnic underserved communities. Participants that focus on tribal and rural communities that experience health disparities are encouraged.

Indian Health Service Produce Prescription Pilot Program Inactive
Funding to establish and demonstrate Produce Prescription Programs through collaborations with stakeholders from healthcare and food industries in tribal communities. Programs will help increase access to fruits, vegetables, and healthy traditional foods for American Indian/Alaska Native people by allowing eligible individuals to receive a fruit and vegetable voucher from a participating healthcare provider to redeem at a local market.

Strengthening Public Health Systems and Services in Indian Country Inactive
Funding to strengthen the quality, performance, and infrastructure of tribal public health systems, including workforce, data, information systems, programs, and services. The overall goal is to improve public health outcomes and health inequities.

Screening and Treatment for Maternal Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Inactive
Funding to expand the capacity of healthcare providers to screen, assess, treat, and refer pregnant and postpartum people for maternal mental health and substance use disorders. Tribal, rural, and other medically underserved areas are a program priority.

Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program: Implementation and Expansion Grants Inactive
Funding to implement and expand evidence-based home visiting services in tribal communities. The goals of the Tribal Home Visiting program are to support healthy, happy, successful American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) children and families through a coordinated, high-quality, evidence-based home visiting strategy, and to continue to build the evidence base for home visiting in tribal communities.

Treatment, Recovery, and Workforce Support Grants Inactive
Grants to implement evidence-based programs to support individuals in substance use disorder treatment and recovery to live independently and participate in the workforce. Projects should focus on equity for rural, tribal, and other underserved populations.

American Indian and Alaska Native Behavioral Health Center of Excellence Inactive
Funding for a single entity to serve as a Center of Excellence to advance behavioral health equity for American Indians and Alaska Natives in both reservations and urban communities.

Rural Health Care Coordination Program Inactive
Funding for rural health consortiums to improve and expand delivery of health care services through comprehensive care coordination strategies in rural areas. Primary focus areas include: heart disease, cancer, chronic lower respiratory disease, stroke, and maternal health.

Health Careers Opportunity Program: The National HCOP Academies Inactive
Grants to increase and support opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds to enter and graduate from health professions programs. National HCOP Academies strengthen the health workforce pipeline in medically underserved and rural areas by providing both academic and social supports to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Integrated Maternal Health Services Inactive
Funding to develop/demonstrate an integrated maternal health services model to support comprehensive care for pregnant and postpartum people who experience health disparities and have limited access to basic social and healthcare services.
