Grant to support a single entity to serve as a transdisciplinary research center to investigate the cumulative health impacts of early lifestage exposures to pollutants in conjunction with other relevant non-chemical stressors among children in underserved, rural agricultural communities.

Community Economic Development Focus on Energy Communities Inactive
Grants for projects aimed at business development opportunities and creating employment for low-income individuals located in energy communities that have experienced employment loss and/or economic dislocation because of declines in the fossil fuel industry and/or are disproportionately reliant on fossil fuel energy production or distribution. Bonus points are given to projects that create jobs in rural and tribal communities.

Grants to build extension program capacity at 1994 Land-Grant Institutions. Funding will support one or more extension program areas including agriculture; community resources and economic development; family development and resource management; 4-H and youth development; leadership and volunteer development; natural resources and environmental management; and nutrition, diet and health.

Environmental Justice Small Grants Program - Tribal Governments Inactive
Grants to support community-driven projects designed to engage, educate, and empower communities to better understand local environmental and public health issues and develop strategies for addressing those issues, building consensus in the community, and setting community priorities. Projects should help residents of underserved communities understand and address local environmental and public health issues. The 2022 opportunity is limited to federally recognized tribal governments to establish or modify public participation programs where fair treatment and meaningful participation priorities have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
