Transportation Update: Where We've Gone and What We've Learned

Deaths From Unintentional Injury Among Adults Aged 65 and Over: United States, 2000–2013
Provides data on unintentional death rates in the U.S., and highlights differences by various demographics and urbanization. Figure 5 compares unintentional deaths for metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas by cause of death. Public Law 114-10: Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015
Full text of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015, commonly referred to as MACRA. MACRA seeks to transition healthcare from fee-for-service to value-based care by repealing the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) formula and replacing it with the Quality Payment Program (QPP). The QPP streamlines data collection efforts and rewards providers based on value instead of volume through the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Advanced Alternative Payment Models (Advanced APMs).

Rural Populations and Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment Services: Challenges and Opportunities for Local Public Health Departments
Results of a study using data from 1995 to 2010, examining geographic differences in screening, diagnosis, and treatment of South Carolina normal birth weight infant cohorts with continuous Medicaid coverage. Explores how the level of services changed as local health departments transitioned away from direct service provision to a population-based delivery service model. Improving Access and Provision of Preventive Oral Health Care for Very Young, Poor, and Low-Income Children Through a New Interdisciplinary Partnership
