Angel Flight East
Provides free, volunteer-based, non-emergency air transportation to medical treatment for people who lack access to transportation for financial or medical reasons. Services communities in 14 northeastern states and provides flights up to 1,000 miles.
A Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) working with patients, providers, and government agencies to improve the health of people in Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Also provides technical support on identified high-priority issues to rural hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs), and other acute care facilities serving vulnerable populations.
Mid-Atlantic Telehealth Resource Center
One of the telehealth resource centers funded by the
federal Office for the Advancement of Telehealth (OAT).
Assists healthcare organizations, healthcare networks, and
healthcare providers in the implementation of
cost-effective telehealth programs to serve rural and
medically underserved areas and populations. Includes
Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia,
Kentucky, Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina, and the
District of Columbia.
New Jersey Department of Human Services
Serves seniors, individuals and families with low incomes; people with mental illnesses, addictions, developmental disabilities, or late-onset disabilities; people who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hard of hearing, or deaf-blind; parents needing child care services, child support and/or healthcare for their children; and families facing catastrophic medical expenses for their children.

Committed to providing and expanding quality health care to all people in New Jersey. Works to find new and expanded ways to deliver primary health care to the underserved and uninsured.
New Jersey Public Health Association
Advocates for public health in New Jersey including public
awareness on healthier living, opportunities for community
involvement, and mentoring to ensure the continued resource
of future public health workers in the state and
New Jersey State Office of Rural Health
Statewide resource for rural health concerns. Collects and shares rural health information, provides technical assistance, and encourages recruitment and retention of health professionals in rural areas.
Northeast Center for Occupational Safety and Health
A NIOSH Agricultural Safety and Health Center located at the New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health promoting health and safety research, education, and prevention activities in the high-risk areas of farming, commercial fishing, and logging in the Northeast.
Northeast Regional Center for Rural Development
Focuses on rural issues including community and economic
development, food systems, natural resources, and
entrepreneurship. Serves Washington D.C. and a 12 state
area in the Northeast: Connecticut, Delaware,
Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island,
Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New Hampshire, Maine,
Maryland, and Vermont.
