Angel Flight East
Provides free, volunteer-based, non-emergency air transportation to medical treatment for people who lack access to transportation for financial or medical reasons. Services communities in 14 northeastern states and provides flights up to 1,000 miles.
Hospital Association of Rhode Island
Assists member hospitals in effectively meeting the healthcare needs of Rhode Islanders through advocacy, representation, education, and services. Also, ensures the concerns and perspectives of members are heard and addressed in state and national health policy development.
New England Rural Health Association
Serves as the rural health association for Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. A forum for promoting healthy rural communities and solutions to the unique health challenges facing rural New England.
Northeast Center for Agricultural Safety and Health
A NIOSH Agricultural Safety and Health Center located at the New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health promoting health and safety research, education, and prevention activities in the high-risk areas of farming, commercial fishing, and logging in the Northeast.
Northeast Regional Center for Rural Development
Focuses on rural issues including community and economic
development, food systems, natural resources, and
entrepreneurship. Serves Washington D.C. and a 12 state
area in the Northeast: Connecticut, Delaware,
Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island,
Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New Hampshire, Maine,
Maryland, and Vermont.
Northeast Telehealth Resource Center
One of the telehealth resource centers funded by the
federal Office for the Advancement of Telehealth (OAT). Assists
healthcare organizations, networks, and providers in the
implementation of cost-effective telehealth programs to
serve rural and medically underserved areas and
populations. Includes Maine, New Hampshire,
Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New
Rhode Island Public Health Institute
Works to solve public health challenges through research, best practices, and community engagement to develop, test, and share program and policy solutions to improve population health within the state of Rhode Island.
Rhode Island Quality Institute
Advances health and care transformation to improve the quality, safety, and value of healthcare in Rhode Island. Facilitates improvements to enhance care coordination, reduce medical errors and waste, and support quality assurance.
