Pan American Health Organization
Works to improve and protect health in the countries of the
Americas. Serves as the specialized organization for health
of the Inter-American System and as the Regional Office for
the Americas of the World Health Organization. Includes a repository of professional literature on U.S.-Mexico border Health issues.
Southeastern Telehealth Resource Center
One of the telehealth resource centers funded by the
federal Office for the Advancement of Telehealth (OAT).
Assists healthcare organizations, healthcare networks, and
healthcare providers in the implementation of
cost-effective telehealth programs to serve rural and
medically underserved areas and populations. Serves
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
TMF Health Quality Institute
A Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) working with patients, providers, and government agencies to improve the health of people in Arkansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, Puerto Rico, Texas, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Health
Functions as both the state regulatory agency and the territorial public health agency for the U.S. Virgin Islands, and serves as the Primary Care Office. Responsible for health promotion and protection, and regulation and licensing of healthcare providers and facilities. Oversees numerous departments including Division of Community Health Services, Division of Emergency Medical Services, and Division of Health Information Exchange.
