Research Grants to Inform Firearm-Related Violence and Injury Prevention Strategies (R01) Inactive
Grants for research to inform the development or improvement of prevention programs, policies, or practices that have the potential to substantially reduce firearm-related violence, injuries, death, or crime within populations or settings experiencing elevated risk. Research focusing on rural and tribal communities is encouraged.

Zenni Scholarship to Advance Children's Vision Inactive
Scholarships for the Prevent Blindness Children's Vision Screening Certification Course and access to vouchers for the full cost of Zenni eyeglasses for eligible children served by scholarship recipients. Applicants from rural areas are encouraged.

Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Nutrition Training Program Inactive
Funding to promote the healthy nutrition of mothers, children, and families by establishing and enhancing MCH Nutrition Training Programs to provide training for future and current MCH nutrition professionals and nutrition-focused technical assistance to state Title V and other MCH programs. There is also the opportunity to apply for additional funding for the optional Nutrition Workforce Equity enhancement. Programs should implement a curricula that provides nutrition-focused clinical preparation in multiple settings emphasizing integration of MCH nutrition services and expanding the reach of MCH nutrition services in rural and underserved areas.

Grants to encourage community-initiated research and foster sustainable long-term collaboration between community-based organizations and academic researchers on research projects focused on reducing and eliminating health disparities in Minnesota.

Health Equity Research Network (HERN) on Improving Access to Care and other Health Inequities in Rural America Inactive
Funding for a Health Equity Research Network that consists of a Coordinating Center and 5 projects at distinct institutions. Network projects should have a common fundamental theme that will assess interventions and/or approaches that address rural health disparities.

Emergency Medicine Foundation Health Disparities Research Grant Inactive
Grants for research to improve healthcare access, delivery, utilization, quality, and outcomes of those affected by health disparities. Proposals are encouraged to propose or lay the groundwork for emergency department-based interventions that produce actionable evidence and/or reproducible findings to improve health outcomes for disparities groups.

Primary Care Training and Enhancement - Residency Training in Mental and Behavioral Health (PCTE-RTMB) Inactive
Grants to train primary care residents in mental and behavioral health for pediatric, adolescent, young adult, and other populations who are at-risk or have experienced abuse, trauma, or mental health and/or substance use disorders, including those related to the effects of gun violence. Priority will be given to proposals to train residents in rural areas, including for tribes or tribal organizations in rural areas.
