An educational community of practice designed to empower pediatric clinicians in rural areas to enhance the quality of care provided for infants and children with birth defects and infant disorders (BDID). As much as possible, the project will focus on congenital syphilis (CS) and congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV).

Financing and grant funding for agriculture producers and rural small businesses to purchase, install, and construct renewable energy systems or complete energy efficiency improvements. An example of a potential project may be the installation of solar panels for hospitals or clinics to improve energy costs.

Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (EMPA) Fellowship
An 18-month fellowship for physician assistants with Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Fellows will learn from board-certified emergency physicians and physician assistants at a Level II Trauma Center, rural emergency departments, and with ground and air emergency crews.

Bill Finerfrock Health Policy Fellowship
A 4-week fellowship in Alexandria, Virginia for mid-career professionals to learn leadership skills for becoming grassroots advocates and champions for rural health.

Oregon Rural Population Health Incubator Program
Funding and technical assistance to support rural population health programs initiated by rural hospitals, clinics, public health departments, or community-based organizations in Oregon.

Sid W. Richardson Foundation Grants
Grants for nonprofit organizations in Texas that address education, health, human services, and arts/culture. Applications for health-related projects are accepted from throughout the state, including rural areas.

Florida Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program
Loan repayment assistance for nursing personnel who agree to serve in areas of Florida where there are critical nursing shortages.

Iowa Farm Bureau Sponsorship Program
Sponsorship support for events and fundraisers in rural Iowa. Giving priorities include health and wellness, agriculture, farm families and their communities, and youth education/leadership.
