Resources to improve response to 988 crisis contacts (including calls, chats, and texts) originating in tribal communities and/or activated by American Indians/Alaskan Natives.

Healthy Start Initiative - Enhanced Inactive
Grants to improve health outcomes before, during, and after pregnancy and reduce the racial/ethnic differences in rates of infant death and adverse perinatal outcomes. The program priority is diverse communities and populations, such as non-Hispanic Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, and rural areas that are experiencing the greatest disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes.

Oregon Justice Reinvestment Equity Program (JREP) Inactive
Funding for organizations that have been overlooked by traditional funding streams with the goals of reducing incarceration and racial disparities in the criminal legal system, promoting healing, and advancing community safety in Oregon. Priority will be given to organizations working in rural communities where racial disparities are most notable and counties where incarceration rates are among the highest.

Closing the Gap with Social Determinants of Health Accelerator Plans Inactive
Funding to collaborate with multi-sectoral partners to develop an implementation-ready Social Determinants of Health Accelerator Plan to reduce disparities in health outcomes related to chronic disease in a tribal jurisdiction, community, or catchment area. Health disparity populations include socially, economically, geographically, and environmentally disadvantaged populations.

Demonstration Grants to Strengthen the Response to Victims of Human Trafficking in Native Communities Program Inactive
Funding for demonstration projects that will build, expand, and sustain organizational and community capacity in Native American communities to deliver services to victims of severe forms of human trafficking.

Living Language Grant Program (LLGP) Inactive
Grants to provide native language instruction and immersion programs for Native students not enrolled at Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) schools, including those tribes and organizations in states without Bureau funded schools. The program uses an "all community" model that addresses agriculture, economic development, and healthcare, among others.

Addressing Dementia in Indian Country: Models of Care Inactive
Funding to support the development of models of comprehensive and sustainable dementia care and services in tribal and urban Indian communities. Models should be responsive to the needs of persons living with dementia and their caregivers.

Preventing Youth Overdose: Treatment, Recovery, Education, Awareness, and Training Inactive
Grants to increase services across the spectrum of prevention, treatment, and recovery for youth and young adults with, or at risk for, opioid use disorder and/or co-occurring disorders by supporting local efforts to raise awareness about fentanyl, improve access to treatment with medications, and to support youth with their treatment and recovery. Tribal and rural populations are a program priority.

Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program Community Selection Inactive
As part of the Continuum of Care program, HUD will select up to 25 communities to participate in the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program to develop and execute a coordinated community approach to preventing and ending youth homelessness. At least 8 of the selected communities will be rural. Applicants must be a collaborative registered through the most recent Continuum of Care Program.

Michigan Impact Grant Program Inactive
Grants for projects that work to lift people in Michigan out of poverty and address the disparities that affect the ability to afford necessities such as housing, child care, food, healthcare, and transportation. The program is focused on geographically disadvantaged areas of the state.
