Texas Cancer Screening and Early Detection
Funding for the delivery of evidence-based clinical services to screen for cancer and precancer in priority populations who do not have adequate access to screening, early detection interventions, and healthcare while bringing together networks of public health and community partners to carry out programs tailored for their communities. Rural and/or medically underserved populations are a program priority.

Texas Primary Prevention of Cancer
Funding to implement evidence-based strategies to ensure that all Texans benefit from cancer prevention knowledge. Projects will include interventions to reduce cancer risk, disease burden, and cancer disparities and address social determinants that contribute to cancer burden and disparities. Applications must include the delivery of interventions to nonmetropolitan (rural) and/or medically underserved counties in the state.

Rocky Mountain Power Foundation Grants
Grants for organizations in the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation service area, with a focus on community enhancement, safety/wellness, environment, arts/culture, and education.

Tribal Agriculture Fellowship (TAF)
Fellowships to help Native students achieve their educational goals leading to careers in agriculture.

Tribal Colleges Research Grants Program (TCRGP)
Grants to tribal colleges and universities for research projects that address concerns and needs of tribal and reservation communities, including projects that focus on health, food, nutrition, and agricultural production research.

Intervention Research to Improve Native American Health (R01 and R34 Clinical Trials Optional)
Funding to support research designed to improve health in Native American populations. Proposed research may address health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, recovery, or services research to inform intervention implementation and dissemination, and it must engage tribal partners and communities.

AmeriCorps State and National Grants
Funding for programs that are designed to strengthen communities and solve local problems, including those found in rural and tribal areas. Funding priorities include concentrated poverty, faith-based organizations, services for veterans, access to youth mental health and substance use services, public safety, outdoor recreation, and support for families.

National Network of Libraries of Medicine Region 3 Grants
Funding for projects in Region 3 that improve health literacy; increase the ability of the general public to find and use health information; and improve health professionals' access to, awareness of, and skills for locating high quality biomedical and health information. NNLM lists rural health as a priority on their initiatives page.

AHRQ Small Research Projects to Advance the Science of Primary Care (R01 and R03)
Funding to support small research projects that advance the role and capacity of primary care to increase the value and quality of care and improve patient outcomes and population health. Rural populations are among the priority populations.

South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority Grants
Grants for the development of infrastructure that protects public health and increases the capacity for economic growth in rural areas of South Carolina.
