Colorado Rural Health Center
Serves as the State Office of Rural Health (SORH) for
Colorado. Offers members programs and services to ensure
that rural communities have access to adequate healthcare.
Delaware Rural Health Initiative
Includes representatives from the Division of Public Health and three southern Delaware hospital systems. Created as a collaborative vehicle for addressing shared rural regional health concerns.
Hawaii State Rural Health Association
Provides communications, education, and research opportunities related to rural health issues in Hawaii and leadership in developing healthy rural communities. Includes three county-based Rural Health Associations: Hawaii Island, Kauai, and Maui.
Idaho Rural Health Association
Provides leadership on rural health issues in Idaho through
advocacy, communication, and education. Represents a
variety of people and organizations committed to the health
and welfare of rural Idahoans.
Indiana Rural Health Association
Works to improve the health of Indiana residents by
providing education, advocacy, collaboration, and resource
development. Provides information on Critical Access
Hospitals (CAHs), Rural Health Clinics (RHCs), and
emergency preparedness. Serves as the gateway to the
Indiana Statewide Rural Health Network (InSRHN), Indiana
Telehealth Network (ITN), and the Indiana Rural Workforce
Innovation Network (IRWIN).
Iowa Rural Health Association
Serves as the voice for rural health in Iowa. Brings
attention to the issues affecting rural providers and helps
members address those issues by offering educational
opportunities, facilitating information sharing, and
engaging in advocacy activities.
Kentucky Rural Health Association
Educates providers and consumers on rural health issues and advocates actions by private and public leaders to assure equitable access to health care for rural Kentuckians.
Louisiana Rural Health Association
Membership organization that serves as a unified voice for healthcare providers, public officials, healthcare employees, educators, and consumers working cooperatively to improve rural health in Louisiana.
Maryland Rural Health Association
Educates and advocates for the optimal health of Maryland's rural communities and their residents. A member organization comprised of local health departments, hospitals, community health centers, area health education centers, health professionals, and community members in rural areas throughout Maryland.
Michigan Center for Rural Health
Serves as the center for expertise in rural health for
Michigan and as the State Office of Rural Health (SORH).
Supports the development of partnerships among nonprofits,
health departments, hospitals, government, and academia to
create new opportunities in quality of care, recruitment
and retention of healthcare providers, distance education,
and emergency medical services (EMS).
Minnesota Rural Health Association
Works to strengthen the health and well-being of rural
Minnesota residents. Focuses on improving access to
healthcare through leadership, advocacy, education, and
Montana Rural Health Association
Promotes a healthy rural Montana by addressing issues of
healthcare delivery, health professions education, public
health education, health services, rural health research,
and health policy.
Nebraska Rural Health Association
Offers leadership on rural health issues through advocacy,
communication, and education. Provides a forum to address
rural health concerns and develop and promote effective
solutions at the local and state level. Shares information
on Nebraska rural health clinics.
New England Rural Health Association
Serves as the rural health association for Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. A forum for promoting healthy rural communities and solutions to the unique health challenges facing rural New England.
North Carolina Rural Health Leadership Alliance
Network of leaders and healthcare providers representing
rural health organizations and individuals in North
Carolina working to improve health in the state through
education and strategic partnerships. NCRHLA is recognized
by the National Rural Health Association as North
Carolina's state rural health association.
Oregon Rural Health Association
Promotes high quality, accessible, and financially
sustainable healthcare in rural Oregon. Advocates for rural
health, serves as a unified voice for rural health in the
state, and encourages the development of appropriate health
resources for rural Oregon.
Texas Rural Health Association
Membership organization that works to improve the health of
rural Texans. Made up of individuals and organizations
dedicated to providing leadership on rural health care
issues through advocacy, communication, and education.
West Virginia Rural Health Association
Works to unite people, communities, and organizations to strengthen rural health in West Virginia. Focuses on identifying the healthcare concerns of rural West Virginians and finding ways to improve services in rural West Virginia communities.
