education for healthcare professionals in Colorado. Works
to enhance the delivery of healthcare services in frontier,
rural, and urban communities and for minority populations.
Colorado Department of Human Services
Delivers health and human services to improve the safety
and independence of the Colorado residents. Provides
resources, assistance, and support. Includes the Divisions
of Community Behavior Health, Developmental Disabilities,
Vocational Rehabilitation, and Adult Protective Services.
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
Protects and preserves the health and environment of
Colorado residents. Includes the Center for Health and
Environmental Data, Disease Control and Environmental
Epidemiology Division, Health Facilities and Emergency
Medical Services Division, and Prevention Services
Colorado Hospital Association
Provides advocacy and representation for hospitals and
healthcare systems in Colorado. Offers education, data
analytics, and more to improve patient safety, hospital
efficiency, and effectiveness.
Colorado Rural Health Center
Serves as the State Office of Rural Health (SORH) for
Colorado. Offers members programs and services to ensure
that rural communities have access to adequate healthcare.
Health information exchange (HIE) that serves as a resource for health information technology and exchange for providers in Arizona and Colorado by providing information and technical assistance.
Four Corners Telehealth Consortium
Collaboration between representatives from telehealth and health information technology initiatives in Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico that provides information and support for healthcare providers in the region.
High Plains Intermountain Center for Agricultural Health and Safety
Focuses on research, education, prevention, and
intervention programs to improve the health and safety of
individuals working in agriculture, forestry and fishing in
the Great Plains and Rocky Mountain regions of Colorado,
Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. A
NIOSH Agricultural Safety and Health Center located at
Colorado State University.
High Plains Research Network
Supports a research network of rural primary care
practices, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and
communities in eastern rural Colorado. Conducts research
and quality improvement programs focused on rural primary
Mountain Plains Mental Health Technology Transfer Center
(Mountain Plains MHTTC)
Supports the dissemination of evidence-based practices for mental health prevention, treatment, and recovery for Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming and focuses on rural health issues. Network is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
Rural Community Assistance Corporation
Helps rural communities in Alaska, Arizona, California,
Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico,
Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming improve community
infrastructure through housing, water, and wastewater
program initiatives. Offers numerous services including
loans for housing and environment.
Southwest Telehealth Resource Center
One of the telehealth resource centers funded by the
federal Office for the Advancement of Telehealth (OAT).
Assists healthcare organizations, healthcare networks, and
healthcare providers in the implementation of
cost-effective telehealth programs to serve rural and
medically underserved areas and populations. Includes
Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada.
Telligen QI Connect
A Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) working to make healthcare safer, more accessible, and more cost-effective in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, and Oklahoma.
Western Rural Development Center
Participates in rural development research and extension projects cooperatively with universities in the West. Serves Washington, Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, Idaho, Hawaii,
California, Arizona, Alaska, Oregon, New Mexico, Montana, Colorado, and 4 U.S. Pacific Territories.
