American Psychiatric Association Diversity Leadership Fellowship Inactive
A 2-year fellowship for minority psychiatry residents or those interested in minority and vulnerable populations. Activities are designed to prepare residents to teach, administer, and provide culturally competent, evidence based mental health and substance abuse services for diverse minority groups and at-risk populations. Populations include American Indians, Native Alaskans, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, Native Pacific Islanders, Black/African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, LGBTQ, and religious minorities.

Primary Care Training and Enhancement: Physician Assistant Rural Training in Behavioral Health (PCTE-PARB) Program Inactive
Funding to train primary care physician assistants to prevent, identify, diagnose, treat, and refer services for behavioral health conditions. The program goal is to increase the number of trained physician assistants who choose to practice in rural areas after graduation.

SAMHSA Minority Fellowship Inactive
A 1-year fellowship for psychiatry residents who are interested in addressing minority psychiatric mental health issues and committed to a career providing culturally sensitive psychiatric services for minority underserved populations. African Americans, Alaska Natives, American Indians, Asian-Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders are encouraged to apply.

Grants for Expansion and Sustainability of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbances Inactive
Grants to improve the mental health outcomes for children and youth, birth through age 21, at risk for or with serious emotional disturbances (SED), and their families. Rural and tribal populations are priorities, among others.

NBCC Foundation Rural Scholarships Inactive
Scholarships for students residing in rural areas who are currently enrolled in a master's level counseling program and are committed to practicing in rural communities after graduation.

Excellence in Rural Psychology Award Inactive
Award that recognizes exemplary psychology leadership in rural and remote areas.

Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program Inactive
Funding to promote behavioral health integration in pediatric primary care by supporting the development of new, or the improvement of existing, statewide or regional pediatric mental healthcare telehealth access programs.

Alkermes Inspiration Grants Inactive
Grant to nonprofit organizations working to address the needs of people living with addiction, serious mental illness, or cancer. Proposals serving historically under-resourced or underrepresented communities are given priority.

Helping Hands Grant Program Inactive
Grants to encourage medical students to participate in community service activities, particularly those focused on underserved populations; raise awareness of mental illness and the importance of early recognition of illness; and build an interest among medical students in psychiatry and working in underserved communities. Projects should focus on mental health and substance use disorder.

National Strategy for Suicide Prevention Inactive
Grants to support states and communities to implement suicide prevention and intervention programs for adults, with an emphasis on older adults, adults in rural areas, and American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) adults.
