May 19, 2022 - Perspective piece highlighting the work of Partners for Rural Transformation (PRT), a coalition of 6 regional Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) serving 3/4 of the persistent poverty counties in the U.S. through research, housing projects, and affordable lending in underserved rural communities. Notes that around 78% of persistent poverty counties in 2020 held that status since 1980 and that 81% of persistent poverty counties are in rural areas.
