non-traditional farmers, their family members, and workers.
A NIOSH Agricultural Safety and Health Center located at
the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of
Collaborative Research Center for American Indian Health
Focuses on building tribal research infrastructure and transdisciplinary research teams in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota. Brings together tribal communities and health researchers from multiple disciplines to conduct research that addresses significant health disparities experienced by American Indians in the region.
Great Plains Telehealth Resource and Assistance Center
One of the telehealth resource centers funded by the
federal Office for the Advancement of Telehealth. Assists
healthcare organizations, networks, and providers in the
implementation of cost-effective telehealth programs to
serve rural and medically underserved areas and
populations. Includes North Dakota, South Dakota,
Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.
Minnesota Association of Community Health Centers
Promotes the cost-effective delivery of affordable, quality
primary healthcare services, with a special emphasis on
meeting the needs of low-income and medically underserved
populations. Represents the interests of Federally
Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other providers who
offer comprehensive primary healthcare services on a
sliding fee scale.
Minnesota Community Action Partnership
Provides job training, job searches, and career development
services, energy assistance and weatherization services,
food shelves and nutrition programs, emergency housing and
financial assistance, counseling, and crisis nursery

Works to eliminate unmet oral health needs in the state by
supporting programs that provide dental services to
underserved populations, encouraging volunteerism within
the profession, and promoting careers in dentistry.

Provides technical assistance and information resources addressing the transition to value and population health, collaboration and partnership, performance improvement, health information technology, and workforce. Rural Health Innovations (RHI), a subsidiary of the National Rural Health Resource Center, enhances the health of rural communities by providing products and services with a focus on excellence and innovation.
Native Governance Center
Assists tribal nations in strengthening their governance
systems and ability to exercise their sovereignty. Serves
23 Native nations in North Dakota, South Dakota, and
North Central Regional Center for Rural Development
One of four regional rural development centers in the U.S.
that works with extension professionals, researchers, and
partners to enhance rural development outcomes. Serves a 12-state area in the North Central region which includes North
Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa,
Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
