Staffed with a team of OB-GYN physicians, the Wellness on Wheels mobile unit provides services such as reproductive counseling, birth control, ultrasounds, and postpartum care.
- The UniMóvil from Healthy Mujeres is a mobile clinic that provides women’s healthcare in the Texas Rio Grande Valley of Texas. The mobile clinic provides preventive and reproductive services including vaccinations, screenings, ultrasounds, pregnancy testing, reversible contraception, cervical cancer screenings, and STI testing. They also provide referrals to specialty healthcare services.
- Starpoint’s Early Head Start Program supports reproductive and early childhood health through home visiting services for pregnant women and families with children up to age 3 in the rural mountains of Cañon City, Colorado. As part of the Early Head Start home-based option, the program serves 75 children and their families with weekly home visits and monthly parent-child social activities. The program promotes healthy pregnancies, prenatal care, maternal wellness, and infant development. Like other Head Start programs, eligibility is dependent on income.
Implementation Considerations
