Nurse Corps Scholarship Program
Scholarships for nursing students in exchange for a minimum 2-year, full-time service commitment (or part-time equivalent) at an eligible healthcare facility with a critical shortage of nurses.

National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program
Loan repayment assistance for eligible primary healthcare professionals who agree to serve in Health Professional Shortage Areas.

NHSC Rural Community Loan Repayment Program
Loan repayment assistance for medical, nursing, and behavioral/mental health clinicians with specific training and credentials to provide evidence-based substance use disorder treatment in rural communities designated as Health Professional Shortage Areas.

NHSC Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Workforce Loan Repayment Program
Loan repayment assistance for eligible clinicians who agree to serve in an approved SUD treatment facility.

Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) Training and Mentoring
Training to provide medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) for clinicians in high-need communities. Clinicians who complete the training may be priority applicants for some NHSC loan repayment programs, and qualified disciplines can become eligible for the Loan Repayment Program Continuation Contract MOUD Award Enhancement.

Advanced Nursing Education - Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (ANE-SANE) Program Inactive
Grants to increase the number of registered nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, and forensic nurses trained and certified as sexual assault nurse examiners, with a preference for projects that will substantially benefit rural or underserved populations or help meet public health nursing needs in state or local health departments. The program goal is to train providers to conduct sexual assault forensic examinations, which provide for better physical and mental healthcare for survivors, including trauma-informed care, and better evidence collection.

Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program Inactive
Loan repayment assistance for registered nurses, nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurses, and nursing school faculty who agree to work at a Critical Shortage Facility or an eligible school of nursing.

Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program Inactive
Grants to educate and train the primary care and geriatrics workforces to provide age-friendly and dementia-friendly care in integrated geriatrics and primary care sites/delivery systems and maximize patient and family engagement to address care gaps and improve health outcomes for older adults. Proposals that benefit older adults in rural, tribal, or other underserved communities/populations are a priority.

Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP) Inactive
Funding for accredited schools of nursing to establish and/or operate a student loan fund. Grantees will loan money to students, and up to 85% of each loan may be forgiven upon completion of up to 4 years of full-time employment as a faculty member in an accredited school of nursing.
