A training for resource professionals to better support rural grocers through business transition. The Rural Grocery Initiative works to support healthy food options, jobs, local tax base, and attraction/retention of residents in rural communities.

Rural Grocery Peer Groups
Peer learning groups designed for mutual support and knowledge exchange to foster a stronger, more connected rural grocery community.

Brownfield Assessment Grants
Grants for assessing, prioritizing, and planning for the cleanup and redevelopment of brownfield sites that are complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant. The program has a focus on areas historically affected by economic disinvestment, health disparities, and environmental contamination.

Grants to carry out cleanup activities at specific brownfield sites, resulting in better community environmental health. The program has a focus on areas historically affected by economic disinvestment, health disparities, and environmental contamination.

Brownfields Multipurpose Grants
Grants to carry out a range of eligible assessment and cleanup activities within a proposed target area, such as a neighborhood, a number of neighboring towns, a district, a corridor, a shared planning area or a census tract. Funds must be used for environmental site assessments, brownfields site cleanup, and the development of a plan for the revitalization of one or more brownfields site.

Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) Grant Program
Grants for capital investments in unmet surface transportation infrastructure needs with an emphasis on rural areas and tribal lands.

YouthBuild Grants
Grants to organizations providing pre-apprenticeship services that support education, occupational skills training, and employment services for youth, ages 16 to 24, while performing meaningful work and service to their communities. The YouthBuild program model contains wrap-around services such as transportation, childcare, and housing. Applications from rural, urban, and Native American communities have been funded in the past.

Arkansas Rural Community Grant Program
Funding to improve quality of life in rural Arkansas, including emergency services and the development and improvement of community facilities.

Iowa Farm Bureau Sponsorship Program
Sponsorship support for events and fundraisers in rural Iowa. Giving priorities include health and wellness, agriculture, farm families and their communities, and youth education/leadership.

Rocky Mountain Power Foundation Grants
Grants for organizations in the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation service area, with a focus on community enhancement, safety/wellness, environment, arts/culture, and education.
