Tribal Homeland Security Grant
Grants to provide funding to federally recognized tribal nations to enhance their ability to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from potential terrorist attacks and other hazards.

First Responders - Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act Grants (FR-CARA)
Funding to train first responders and communities in administering and distributing opioid overdose reversal medications. Funding is set aside for recipients serving rural and tribal communities.

Mental Health Awareness Training Grants
Grants to prepare and train school personnel, emergency first responders, law enforcement, and community-based agency staff on how to appropriately and safely recognize and respond to individuals with mental disorders. Rural applicants have been awarded grants in the past, and up to 3 awards will be made to tribes/tribal organizations pending sufficient application volume.

Oregon Rural Health Excellence Award
Awards that recognize rural hospitals, clinics, local public health departments, EMS agencies, and community-based organizations that demonstrate exceptional dedication to health outcomes in their communities in Oregon.

Wilderness and Austere Medicine Fellowship
A year-long training experience for physicians to develop clinical skills and leadership capacity to provide high quality healthcare in resource limited settings and prepare for leadership positions in the field of wilderness and austere medicine.

Foundation for Rural Service Community Grant Program
Grants to support a variety of local efforts to build and sustain a high quality of life in rural communities across America. Focus areas include business and economic development, education and workforce, health and wellbeing, and public service and first responders.

Rocky Mountain Power Foundation Grants
Grants for organizations in the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation service area, with a focus on community enhancement, safety/wellness, environment, arts/culture, and education.

Opioid Settlement Fund Community Grant Program
Grants for organizations working to abate and alleviate the impacts of the opioid crisis and co-occurring substance use challenges in South Dakota communities. Rural behavioral health workforce, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) training, and telehealth in rural communities are among the approved uses of funds.

South Dakota Rural Healthcare Facility Recruitment Assistance Program
A monetary incentive to health professionals who complete a 3 year service agreement at a rural facility in South Dakota. Facilities apply for matching funds to help with their recruitment efforts.

AGRIMEDIC Training for Fire, Rescue, and EMS Providers in Louisiana
Training for fire, rescue, and EMS providers in Louisiana designed to reduce mortality, injury, and property loss resulting from agricultural emergencies.
