Wilderness and Austere Medicine Fellowship
A year-long training experience for physicians to develop clinical skills and leadership capacity to provide high quality healthcare in resource limited settings and prepare for leadership positions in the field of wilderness and austere medicine.

Foundation for Rural Service Community Grant Program
Grants to support a variety of local efforts to build and sustain a high quality of life in rural communities across America. Focus areas include business and economic development, education and workforce, health and well-being, and public service and first responders.

New Mexico Health Service Corps Stipend Program
Provides a stipend to eligible health professionals in a training or residency program in return for a service obligation of a minimum of 2 years at an approved health clinic in a rural, medically underserved area of New Mexico.

Rocky Mountain Power Foundation Grants
Grants for organizations in the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation service area, with a focus on community enhancement, safety/wellness, environment, arts/culture, and education.

Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Site-Based Program
Grants to develop, implement, and/or expand comprehensive programs in response to overdose deaths, illicit opioids, stimulants, or other substances. Rural communities apply under Subcategory 1c.

Opioid Settlement Fund Community Grant Program
Grants for organizations working to abate and alleviate the impacts of the opioid crisis and co-occurring substance use challenges in South Dakota communities. Rural behavioral health workforce, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) training, and telehealth in rural communities are among the approved uses of funds.

South Dakota Rural Healthcare Facility Recruitment Assistance Program
A monetary incentive to health professionals who complete a 3 year service agreement at a rural facility in South Dakota. Facilities apply for matching funds to help with their recruitment efforts.
