Union Pacific Foundation Community Ties Giving Program: Local Grants Inactive
Grants to nonprofit organizations to support direct services and capacity building efforts aimed at improving the quality of life in communities served by Union Pacific in the areas of safety, workforce development, community vitality, and environmental sustainability. Special emphasis is given to programs and organizations that serve populations in local communities. Rural communities have been awarded funding in the past.

Adult Treatment Court Program Inactive
Grants and technical assistance to enhance adult drug court operations and services. Courts should integrate evidence-based substance use treatment, mandatory drug testing, sanctions and incentives, offender management, and transitional services in judicially-supervised court settings with jurisdiction over offenders to reduce recidivism and substance use, prevent overdoses, and support long-term recovery.

Second Chance Act Pay for Success Initiative Inactive
Grants to provide services and programs through performance-based or outcomes-based contracts to improve reentry and reduce recidivism among individuals leaving incarceration. Rural communities have been awarded funding in the past.

Minnesota Live Well at Home Grants Inactive
Grants to develop and/or provide services to allow for older Minnesotans to live in the community. Funded projects will improve capacity to develop, strengthen, and integrate programs; maintain home and community-based services for individuals' age 65 and older and at risk of long-term nursing home use and/or spending down into medical assistance; and strengthen services for the caregiver support network. Models that serve older adults in rural areas are of particular interest.
