Grants to encourage medical students to participate in community service activities, particularly those focused on underserved populations; raise awareness of mental illness and the importance of early recognition of illness; and build an interest among medical students in psychiatry and working in underserved communities. Projects should focus on mental health and substance use disorder.

Loan repayment assistance for primary care practitioners who agree to practice in a Health Professional Shortage Area of Pennsylvania.

Maine Rural Medical Access Program
Financial incentives, in the form of reimbursement of insurance premiums for physicians who provide obstetrical and prenatal care in federally designated Medically Underserved Areas/Populations and Primary Care Health Professional Shortage Areas in Maine.

INMED Reimagine Indians into Medicine (RISE) Summer Academy
A 2-week program for enrolled members of federally recognized tribes who aspire to be physicians.

Wy'east Medicine Pathway Program
A 10-month educational program in Portland, Oregon for American Indian and Alaska Native post-baccalaureate students who were not accepted to medical school or did not get a qualifying MCAT score. Upon successful completion of the program, participants can gain guaranteed or conditional acceptance into Oregon Health and Science University.

MD Anderson Cancer Center Tobacco Treatment Training Program
Training for individuals interested in becoming credentialed as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist as part of the Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Program. Includes a scholarship opportunity for professionals in rural health centers in Texas or Veterans Affairs nationally.

Illinois Community Behavioral Health Care Professional Loan Repayment Program
Loan repayment assistance for qualified mental health and substance use professionals who agree to practice in rural areas in Illinois.
