Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC): Grant Initiative for the Appalachian, Delta, and Northern Border Regions
Grants for projects in the Appalachian, Lower Mississippi Delta, and Northern Border regions that will provide career, training, and support services to eligible individuals in eligible counties and parishes. Grants will support workforce development activities that prepare dislocated workers, new entrants to the workforce, and incumbent workers for good jobs in high-demand occupations aligned with a regional or community economic development strategy. High demand industries include manufacturing, IT, healthcare, business, and energy.

Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) Catalyst Program
Funding for economic development initiatives in the northern border region of Maine, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont, with priority given to rural and disadvantaged communities. Project areas include basic healthcare; workforce development; and public, transportation, and telecommunications infrastructure, among others.

Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund
Funds programs that work in the areas of affordable housing and shelter, education and youth development, environmental stewardship, workforce, and human services within the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation service area.

Agnes M. Lindsay Trust Grants
Supports capital projects for organizations working in the areas of health, welfare, dental health, homelessness, and food insecurity in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

New England Student Stipend Program
Stipends for public health and other health professions students with practice opportunities working on eligible projects with public health or primary care agencies in New England.

New Hampshire Private Practice Dentists State Loan Repayment Program
Loan repayment assistance for private practice dentists working in approved areas of New Hampshire who agree to serve a minimum of 15% of Medicaid patients and commit to a state contract for 3 years.

New Hampshire Small Business Energy Audit Fund
Grants to cover 75% of the cost of comprehensive energy audits for New Hampshire agricultural producers and rural small businesses, including rural healthcare providers and health-related businesses.

New Hampshire State Loan Repayment Program
Loan repayment assistance for certain healthcare professionals who agree to work in approved areas of New Hampshire.

Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) J-1 Visa Waiver Program
Offers a J-1 Visa waiver to foreign physicians who commit to serving for 3 years in rural areas within the Northern Border service area, allowing them to remain in the United States.

ROPS Rebate Program
Offers rebates for approximately 70% of the cost of purchasing and installing a Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) kit on tractors.
