Smith-Lever Special Needs Competitive Grants Program
Funding to enable the Cooperative Extension System (CES) to assist in preparing for, providing an educational response to, recovering from, and mitigating disasters and disaster threats. The program supports innovative, education-based approaches to address disaster preparedness and specific responses related to disasters or disaster threats caused by natural, human-made, technological hazards, or by other factors that contribute to the exposure of or risk to a community.

Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Grants
Grants for hazard mitigation activities to build capacity of state and local governments, tribes, and territories to help them to identify mitigation actions and implement projects that reduce risks posed by natural hazards. Priority is given for projects that benefit specific communities, including rural areas. Funding is specifically set aside for resilient infrastructure projects for tribal communities.

Native Collective Research Effort to Enhance Wellness (N CREW) Program: Addressing Overdose, Substance Use, Mental Health, and Pain
Funding for community-led research to enhance culturally grounded, strengths-based, effective, and sustainable interventions addressing overdose, substance use, mental health, and pain in Native communities.

South Carolina Health Priority Grants
Grants for projects that improve health outcomes and decrease health disparities for South Carolina residents, especially the economically vulnerable. Health priorities include oral health, mental health, diabetes, healthcare access, workforce, and more.

Oregon Rural Health Excellence Award
Awards that recognize rural hospitals, clinics, local public health departments, EMS agencies, and community-based organizations that demonstrate exceptional dedication to health outcomes in their communities in Oregon.

Targeted Technical Assistance for Rural Hospitals Program
2-year technical assistance program for rural hospitals to address financial and operational challenges and help maintain essential health services in rural communities.

Indiana Community Health Partnerships (CHeP) Trailblazer Planning Grant
Funding for the development of community-university partnerships that will result in future collaborative research to improve health of Indiana residents.

Opioid Settlement Fund Community Grant Program
Grants for organizations working to abate and alleviate the impacts of the opioid crisis and co-occurring substance use challenges in South Dakota communities. Rural behavioral health workforce, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) training, and telehealth in rural communities are among the approved uses of funds.

Tribal Institutional Review Board Establishment and Enhancement (TIRBEE) (R24 - Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
Funding to support federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) Tribes, Tribal colleges and universities, Tribal health programs, or Tribal organizations (collectively, eligible Tribal entities) to establish Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) or enhance the capacity of existing Tribal IRBs.

AHRQ TeamSTEPPS Training
Training opportunities designed to help healthcare teams enhance communication, manage challenges more collaboratively, and effectively implement TeamSTEPPS to improve patient care.
