Offers monetary awards to organizations and individuals in southern Idaho, Utah, and Clark County, Nevada working to promote healthcare access, food security, housing stability, and mental and physical wellness.

Sherwood Foundation Grants
Funding for nonprofit organizations in Nebraska working to improve quality of life. Past awards have been made across the state, including in rural areas.

Whole Foods Market Foundation School Garden Grant Program
Grants to support new and existing edible gardens at K-12 schools and nonprofit organizations. Applications from under-resourced areas, including rural and tribal communities, are encouraged.

Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) Consumer Health Information Specialization (CHIS) Training Award
Professional development funds for rural and small library staff wanting to build capacity in delivering health information, increase community access to reliable resources, and foster library staff as local health information leaders.

AARP Community Challenge
Grants for projects that work to improve livability for all residents of a community. The 2026 application cycle will focus on public spaces, housing, transportation, digital connections, and disaster preparedness. Applications from rural communities are encouraged.

Lumpkin Family Foundation Land, Health, Community Grants
Grants to organizations in Eastern Central Illinois to support healthy communities by increasing access to healthy food, growing local agriculture economies, supporting mental health and well-being, promoting green farming practices, and encouraging rural development through community engagement and collaboration. Preference is given to rural organizations.

Arkansas Rural Community Grant Program
Funding to improve quality of life in rural Arkansas, including emergency services and the development and improvement of community facilities.

Reeve Foundation Quality of Life Grants
Grants to nonprofit organizations that provide services to improve the daily lives of people with paralysis and their caregivers. Projects and initiatives should foster acceptance, involvement, community engagement, and health and wellness.

Iowa Farm Bureau Sponsorship Program
Sponsorship support for events and fundraisers in rural Iowa. Giving priorities include health and wellness, agriculture, farm families and their communities, and youth education/leadership.
