Improving Healthcare Systems Research Grants

Healthy Start: Eliminating Disparities in Perinatal Health
Grants for high-risk communities with infant mortality rates at least 1.5 times the U.S. national average and high rates of other adverse perinatal outcomes with the goal of reduce disparities in health status between the general population and individuals who are members of disparity populations. Funding is set aside for rural communities.

HRSA Challenge Competition: Remote Pregnancy Monitoring
A prize competition to support innovative technological solutions to help prenatal care providers remotely monitor the health and well-being of pregnant women, as well as place health data into the hands of pregnant women themselves as a tool to monitor their own health and make informed decisions about care. A priority is solutions that would especially benefit women who live in rural and medically underserved areas who have limited access to on-site prenatal care.
