Cancer Health Research Centers (CHERCs)
Funding to support the formation of Cancer Health Research Centers (CHERCs) which are designed to achieve improved cancer health outcomes and reduce cancer mortality. Access to healthcare in rural communities is a program priority.

Drug-Free Communities Support Program
Awards funding to coalitions working to prevent and reduce substance use among youth and to establish and strengthen collaboration among communities, organizations, and governmental entities. Many rural communities have been awarded funding in the past.

YouthBuild Grants
Grants to organizations providing pre-apprenticeship services that support education, occupational skills training, and employment services for youth, ages 16 to 24, while performing meaningful work and service to their communities. The YouthBuild program model contains wrap-around services such as transportation, childcare, and housing. Applications from rural, urban, and Native American communities have been funded in the past.

Office on Violence Against Women Training and Technical Assistance Initiative
Grants to provide direct technical assistance for existing and potential grantees and sub-grantees to enhance and support their efforts to successfully implement projects supported by OVW grant funds. This initiative is designed to build and enhance the capacity of civil and criminal justice system professionals and victim service providers to respond effectively to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking and foster partnerships among organizations that have not traditionally worked together to address these crimes. Rural communities are a program priority.

Iowa Farm Bureau Sponsorship Program
Sponsorship support for events and fundraisers in rural Iowa. Giving priorities include health and wellness, agriculture, farm families and their communities, and youth education/leadership.

Rocky Mountain Power Foundation Grants
Grants for organizations in the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation service area, with a focus on community enhancement, safety/wellness, environment, arts/culture, and education.

West Michigan Youth Programs
Grants to support projects for youth ages 0 – 18 living within a 4-county service area that includes Lake, Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana counties in western Michigan.

Rapides Foundation Healthy Behaviors School District Partnership Grant
Funding for school districts in central Louisiana for projects that promote healthy behaviors in the areas of tobacco prevention and control, alcohol and substance misuse prevention, and healthy eating and active living.

Buell Foundation Grants
Grants for projects in Colorado in the areas of childhood education and development. Priority is given to rural communities in the state.

Indian Highway Safety Occupant Protection Grant
Grants to federally recognized tribes for implementing traffic safety projects designed to reduce the number of traffic crashes, deaths, injuries, and property damage. The opportunity also includes funding for the Child Passenger Safety Seat Program.
