A year-long training experience for physicians to develop clinical skills and leadership capacity to provide high quality healthcare in resource limited settings and prepare for leadership positions in the field of wilderness and austere medicine.

APhA Foundation Incentive Grants
Offers pharmacists seed money to implement or support an innovative patient care service within their pharmacy practice. Pharmacists in rural areas have received funding in previous rounds.

Gates Family Foundation Capital Grants
Capital support for building purchase, construction, expansion, renovation, and/or land acquisition for Colorado organizations working in the areas of arts and culture; education; well-being of children, youth, and families; parks and recreation; and community development, among other things.

Strengthening the Safety Net: Improving Access to High Quality Health Care in Michigan
Grants to support clinics providing free medical, dental, and/or mental healthcare for uninsured and underinsured residents of Michigan.

Washington J-1 Visa Waiver Program
Offers a J-1 Visa waiver to foreign physicians who commit to serving for 3 years in an approved area of Washington, allowing them to remain in the United States.

Rural Physician Associate Program
A 9-month, community-based educational experience for third-year medical students at the University of Minnesota that allows them to live and train in rural communities across Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
