Grants to address unmet health needs in the Delta Region through cooperation among healthcare professionals, institutions of higher education, research institutions, and other entities.

Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health Pilot/Feasibility Projects Academic Track
Grants for academic/scientific investigators and those newly interested in agricultural safety and health research. Funding will support projects that address occupational hazards relevant to farmers and farm workers in the Great Plains region, with a focus on projects addressing work-related stress and mental health; the prevention of slips, trips, and falls; equipment/tool safety; and chemical safety.

Illinois Podiatric Medicine Scholarship
Scholarships for podiatric physician students who agree to practice in a shortage area of Illinois upon graduation.

Illinois Veterans' Home Medical Provider Loan Repayment Program
Loan repayment assistance for certain medical professionals to pursue or continue careers at veterans' homes in Illinois.

Telligen Community Initiative Grants
Grants for programs and nonprofit organizations that address social determinants with a focus on the integration of childhood, family, and community health in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, and Oklahoma. Priority is given to rural communities.

Rural Illinois Medical Student Assistance Program (RIMSAP)
Loans and/or recommendations for University of Illinois Medical School students wishing to specialize in family practice or another primary healthcare field and who agree to practice in an approved rural community in Illinois.

American Connection Corps
A 1-year fellowship program that trains and mobilizes leaders to work in rural and emerging communities to coordinate broadband development and digital inclusion.

Delta Doctors J-1 Visa Waiver Program
Offers a J-1 Visa waiver to foreign physicians who commit to serving for 3 years in an approved area of the Delta region, allowing them to remain in the United States.

Delta Region Community Health Systems Development Program Technical Assistance
Technical assistance for selected hospitals, clinics, and their communities in the Delta Region to make in-depth health system enhancements.

Illinois AHEC Scholars Program
A multidisciplinary certificate program for health professions students in Illinois that offers opportunities for hands-on training, experience in rural communities, and networking with other students and professionals.
