Jan 23, 2018 - The Secretary’s Advisory Committee on National Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Objectives for 2030 will hold an open meeting via webinar on February 28, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern. The committee will discuss the nation's health promotion and disease prevention priorities and provide recommendations to improve health status and reduce health risks by the year 2030. Pre-registration is required and must be completed by 9:00 a.m. Eastern on February 28, 2018.

Navajo Wellness Model: Keeping the Cultural Teachings Alive to Improve Health
Jan 4, 2018 - Blog post from the Indian Health Service (IHS) highlighting a project developed by the Navajo Area IHS in partnership with Diné cultural experts, philosophers, and traditional healers. The program is designed to improve health and health literacy by incorporating traditional Navajo teachings and Western medicine into a wellness curriculum.
