Rural Veterans Health Access Program
Grants for current Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Program award recipients in states with certified Critical Access Hospitals to work with providers and other partners to improve access to needed healthcare services and to improve the coordination of care for veterans living in rural areas.

American Rescue Plan Provider Relief Fund New Distributions
Relief funds for hospitals and other healthcare providers to support expenses and lost revenue due to COVID-19. The application portal will open on September 29, 2021. $17 billion is available for a broad range of providers who can document revenue loss and expenses associated with the pandemic. An additional $8.5 billion in relief funds is available for providers who serve rural patients.

Delta Region Rural Health Workforce Training Program Inactive

Rural Behavioral Health Workforce Centers - Northern Border Region Inactive
Funding for 4 Rural Behavioral Health Workforce Centers (RBHWCs) in Maine, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont to develop and implement training and mentorship programs focused on building the skills and capacity of rural healthcare providers, paraprofessionals, non-clinical staff, and community members to care for individuals with behavioral health care needs. RBHWCs are part of the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program, an initiative with the goal of reducing morbidity and mortality resulting from substance use disorder, including opioid use disorder, in high risk rural communities.
