AmeriCorps VISTA Sponsoring Agency Request for Concept Papers
A national service program that provides resources and staffing for organizations and agencies working to alleviate poverty and address poverty-related problems in local communities.

Senior Corps Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
Funding to develop and support Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) projects for volunteers 55 years and older in serving specific local and community needs. Applications from rural communities are encouraged.

Housing Assistance Council OneRural Capacity Building Program
Individualized technical assistance, training, and access to resources designed to build the capacity of housing/community development organizations working in rural communities.

Opioid Settlement Fund Community Grant Program
Grants for organizations working to abate and alleviate the impacts of the opioid crisis and co-occurring substance use challenges in South Dakota communities. Rural behavioral health workforce, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) training, and telehealth in rural communities are among the approved uses of funds.

United WE Rural Research Fellowship
A 12-month interdisciplinary fellowship designed to generate original research that may lead to improved economic opportunity and quality of life in rural America.

Minnesota Live Well at Home Grants
Grants to develop and/or provide services to allow for older Minnesotans to live in the community. Funded projects will improve capacity to develop, strengthen, and integrate programs; maintain home and community-based services for individuals' age 65 and older and at risk of long-term nursing home use and/or spending down into medical assistance; and strengthen services for the caregiver support network. Models that serve older adults in rural areas are of particular interest.

Adult Treatment Court Program
Grants and technical assistance to enhance adult drug court operations and services. Courts should integrate evidence-based substance use treatment, mandatory drug testing, sanctions and incentives, offender management, and transitional services in judicially-supervised court settings with jurisdiction over offenders to reduce recidivism and substance use, prevent overdoses, and support long-term recovery.

Mary Kay Domestic Violence Shelter Grant Program
Grants to support domestic violence shelters. The Foundation will award a grant to at least one domestic violence shelter in every state that applies, and many grants have gone to rural areas.

Otto Bremer Trust Community Responsive Fund
Grants to nonprofit organizations in North Dakota focused on the areas of food, shelter, healthcare clinics, disability services, and school-based mental health.

Rural Community Grant Fund
Grants to fund infrastructure improvement and development initiatives for housing projects; health, safety, and environmental programs; medical facilities; and educational programs in western North Dakota.
