Module 4: Implementation Considerations for Rural Transportation Programs

Each rural community has different needs and faces different challenges; there is no one-size-fits-all implementation strategy for rural transportation programs. Successful programs identify existing resources and best practices and tailor them to address their communities' needs.

This module identifies key concepts to consider when implementing a program to improve transportation options for rural communities. In Module 2, we describe implementation considerations for each program model. In this module, we describe cross-cutting issues to consider prior to implementing a transportation program in a rural community.

For a broad overview of rural program implementation, see Implementing a Rural Community Health Program in the Rural Community Health Toolkit.
