  • Program Overview: The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare manages a diverse set of HIV and STI prevention, surveillance, and treatment programs. As a Ryan White Part B grantee, the Department manages the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) for the state. The Partner Services program operates in all seven of the state's local public health districts and provides counseling on reducing HIV risk behaviors and referrals for testing. In addition, the Idaho Department of Health works with community-based organizations in the state to conduct targeted HIV testing. The Department implements evidence-based prevention efforts and interventions, such as MpowerMT.
