Module 4: Implementation Considerations for Rural MOUD Programs

Each rural program providing medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all implementation strategy. A successful MOUD program will determine the needs and gaps that exist in the community, identify existing resources and best practices, and tailor the program to address the community's needs. This module identifies key cross-cutting issues to consider when planning and implementing a rural MOUD program.

For a broad overview of rural program implementation, see Implementing a Rural Community Health Program in the Rural Community Health Toolkit.
