Module 3: Program Clearinghouse
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Federal Office of Rural Health Policy has funded several programs in rural areas to implement and expand substance use disorder treatment programs. The 330A Outreach Authority program aims to expand access to healthcare services in rural areas. The Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) focuses on planning, implementation, and expansion of programs to treat substance use disorders, including opioid use disorder (OUD), in rural areas. Examples of 330A Outreach Authority grantees, RCORP grantees, and other organizations with substance use disorder (SUD) programs in rural communities are provided below. SUD program model information is available in Module 2.

Synopsis: Offers substance use and mental health education and prevention services in schools located in rural Warren County and Washington County, New York. Fosters collaboration among leaders, professionals, and community members to promote healthier schools and communities. - Horizon Health

Project: The Substance Use Recovery Program
Synopsis: Delivers innovative rural healthcare to Sanilac County, Michigan. The Substance Abuse Recovery Program provides medication for opioid use disorder, therapy, and other services to support patients on their path to recovery. - Palo Alto County Health System
Synopsis: Offers a full continuum of primary healthcare and behavioral health services to residents of rural counties in northwest Iowa. -

Synopsis: Implements activities related to community organization, medication prescriber education, chronic pain initiatives, and health promotion activities to raise awareness of opioid use disorder and opioid overdose prevention. -

Project: Integrated Substance Abuse in Primary Care
Synopsis: Incorporates substance use disorder services, including screening and behavioral therapies, into its program. - Summit Pacific Medical Center
