- Program Overview: The Affiliated Service Providers of Indiana Network (ASPIN) is a nonprofit network provider of behavioral health services and education. The program provides a three-day training and certification process for community health workers (CHWs) in Indiana, who are then eligible for employment in various mental health agencies. In addition to the CHW training, people who are recovering from a substance use disorder are eligible for an additional two days of training to become a Certified Recovery Specialist. Certified Recovery Specialists are peers who provide support services in a variety of settings to people with substance use disorders. These trainings are delivered by ASPIN and funded by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction.
